TANGERANG, 2025 – As part of the Service Learning Community (SLC) programme, Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) students conducted a business development initiative in Nanggerang Village, Tajurhalang, Bogor, on April 12, 24, and 25, 2025, aimed at strengthening local economic potential and household livelihoods. As an ongoing community empowerment initiative under SLC, the programme provides practical education, entrepreneurship support, and resources tailored to the needs and economic potential of local communities.

In the 2025 implementation, UPH students collaborated directly with community members to develop innovative cassava-based products, building on cassava as one of the village’s key agricultural resources. The programme featured two main activities: a workshop on the innovation of cassava products and a seminar on strategies to increase product sales.

Through these activities, community members received practical education and hands-on guidance in product development, value-added processing, entrepreneurship, and marketing strategies. The training was designed to help residents transform local agricultural resources into marketable products and develop additional income-generating opportunities.

By combining entrepreneurship education, practical training, and direct mentoring, the SLC Business Development programme helps community members improve the marketability of locally produced goods, develop sustainable income-generating activities, and strengthen the foundations of financially and socially sustainable local businesses.
