TANGERANG, 2023 – Universitas Pelita Harapan offers an on-campus daycare facility designed to support its faculty, staff, and students. The service, which allows community members to entrust their children to care during work or study hours, commenced operations in 2023. 

After an initial period of intermittent operations, the daycare has moved to a new, dedicated location in Building B, room 309. The facility was previously housed on the fifth floor of the same building. The current space is equipped with numerous amenities for children, including a variety of toys, beanbags, and small tables and chairs. 

Children at the facility engage in a structured routine of activities. The daily schedule includes reading books, free play sessions, outdoor walks, and designated nap times. 

Professional care is provided by SoW (Students on Work) personnel. Students wishing to take part in the daycare operations are required to go through a minimum of seven training sessions, ensuring the quality of the care provided. Through this dual-use program, SoW personnel can gain hands-on experience on care work, while UPH staff and students can rest easy knowing their children are in capable hands. 

The availability of the daycare service has been communicated to the campus community through internal channels such as HRD news and respective faculties’ Instagram accounts.
