28 April 2024

TANGERANG, 2024 – As part of the 2024 Service Learning Community (SLC) program, Universitas Pelita Harapan students carried out a Business Development initiative in Desa Nanggerang, Kecamatan Tajurhalang, Kabupaten Bogor, aiming to strengthen the economic resilience of local communities. The program focused on supporting micro and small enterprises by identifying local economic potential, providing entrepreneurship training, and assisting with branding and digital marketing.
Throughout the program, students worked closely with local business owners engaged in agriculture, food processing, and handicrafts. Activities included workshops on financial literacy and business management, hands-on mentoring for product innovation, as well as training on packaging and social media marketing strategies. This initiative not only helped local entrepreneurs enhance the value of their products and expand their market reach but also provided UPH students with valuable experiential learning in community-based development. By combining academic knowledge with real-world application, the program fostered mutual growth, encouraging sustainable business practices for the villagers while equipping students with practical skills in entrepreneurship and social impact.
