UPH’s Health Outreach Programmes
Supporting the call for community health outreach, Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) reaffirmed its commitment to promoting health and well-being through collaborative initiatives that integrate education, prevention, and community engagement.

In May 6th, 2025, UPH’s Service Learning Community (SLC), through its Health Department, conducted Mari Sehat 2025 at the Bencongan Indah Village Office, Tangerang, focusing on stunting prevention and child well-being. The programme provided health education through two interactive activities: G.I.Z.I. (Gembira – Inovatif – Zat Berguna – Inspiratif), which introduced the importance of balanced nutrition, and K.A.S.I.H. (Komunikasi, Atensi, Sabar, Interaksi, Hangat), which promoted nurturing parenting and positive parent-child interactions. Through these activities, UPH students equipped parents and community members with practical knowledge on nutrition, caregiving, and early intervention to support healthy child growth and development.

UPH also implemented the Holistic Care Collaboration for Refugees in Jabodetabek, an interdisciplinary outreach involving the Faculties of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Psychology. This academic year, the programme lasted from November 6th, 2024, to April 17th, 2025, and served 592 refugees alongside disadvantaged individuals through free medical consultations, health screenings, psychological assessments, and health education on hygiene, nutrition, and chronic disease prevention. Supported by Live Global, the initiative adopted a holistic care model integrating physical, mental, and spiritual health, empowering vulnerable populations while providing students with hands-on experience in community health promotion.
Together, these initiatives demonstrate UPH’s sustained effort to enhance health awareness, accessibility, and well-being among local and displaced communities through education, service, and compassionate care.
