TANGERANG, 2025 – Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) continues to strengthen its commitment to preparing students for meaningful and productive roles in Indonesia’s economic development. One of the key initiatives supporting this vision is the UPH Investment Gallery, a student learning hub that provides hands-on experience and professional mentoring in the world of capital market investment.

Through the Investment Gallery, students gain a comprehensive understanding of the Indonesian financial landscape—from fundamental finance theories and stock analysis to real-world financial modeling. The gallery aims to nurture responsible, well-informed investors who contribute to the nation’s financial growth through ethical and sustainable investment practices.

Partnering with PT Sucor Sekuritas, a leading equity and investment banking firm established in 1989, the UPH Investment Gallery serves as a bridge between education and industry. This collaboration allows students to learn directly from practitioners, gain access to real trading environments, and open securities accounts to start their investment journey with professional guidance.

The program is led by dedicated mentors such as Valentino Budhidharma, S.Kom., M.M., a seasoned capital market practitioner and lecturer at UPH’s Faculty of Economics and Business, and Indra Tedja Kusuma, S.E., a certified professional from PT Sucor Sekuritas with extensive experience in investment management and client relations.

Among its signature programs, Sekolah Pasar Modal (SPM) offers structured learning for students and young investors to understand stock investment fundamentals. Participants receive certification and are encouraged to apply their learning in real market settings. Meanwhile, Stock Lab combines gamified learning and simulation to introduce the concept of stock trading to high school and university students—making financial literacy accessible, engaging, and practical. For management students seeking industry experience, the Learning Labs internship provides a 4–5 month placement at the Investment Gallery, allowing them to apply theories in real investment analysis and portfolio management.

These initiatives reflect UPH’s belief that sustainable economic growth begins with education that empowers individuals to make informed financial decisions and contribute productively to society.

Students who have joined the Investment Gallery shared their experiences and expressed how the program transformed his understanding of investment:

“UPH Investment Gallery is very useful for students who have an interest in investing but do not know how to do it properly. I learned a lot from the mentors and gained confidence to make smarter investment decisions.”

Lie Jasen (Management 2019)

“Before joining the Investment Gallery, I often based my decisions on popular stocks. Now, I always research the economy and company performance before investing.”

Alexander Gelfand Panjaya (Management 2019)

Through continuous collaboration, mentorship, and experiential learning, the UPH Investment Gallery stands as a key pillar in cultivating financially literate graduates who are ready to support Indonesia’s sustainable economic future—individuals who work, lead, and invest with purpose and integrity.
