To support and affirm the global commitment to lifelong learning, Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) continues to develop its educational innovation and access. In this case, UPH does not just limit their educational resources to on-campus formal education but further opens opportunities for educational outreach to the public. These initiatives are done through the provision of various platforms and resources, both digital and physical, such as the following:

  • Online public courses (free)

In supporting lifelong learning, UPH provides free access to educational resources for those studying and not studying at the university. The resources included are online public courses available in the free learning platforms such as Indonesia Cyber Education Institute (ICE) and EduHub UPH. In total, UPH offers 21 public courses in ICE and 60 courses in EduHub. The platform offers free, self-paced courses that issue official certificates upon completion, providing flexible educational recognition for professional and personal development.

Despite the platforms offering both free and paid resources, however some notable free courses offer include “A Practical Introduction to Business Model Canvas”, “Family Business Management”, “Travel Industry Business”, “General Psychology”, Case Studies in Music Therapy”, “UI/UX Design 101”, and many more.

The free online resources offered by UPH can be accessed using learn.uph.edu, an LMS (Learning Management System) of UPH. The system can also be used by the public who take the online free courses as long as they register themselves. The policy regarding this, is written in the document of Micro-Credential Regulation which is available as well for the public.

Aside from those, every semester, UPH provides free scholarships for academic and non-academic staff within the Yayasan Pelita Harapan foundation who are not studying at the university to take various courses within the ICE platform. Such certified courses are across multiple disciplines, accessible to anyone, anytime. The courses offered include certified ICE courses and other international courses from Coursera, XuetangX, and edX.

  • On-Campus Facilities (open for public)

The ONE UPH Library supports inclusive and lifelong learning by providing access not only to students and staff but also to the broader community through its free access to the public. Beyond automatic access for active students, faculty, and staff, the library welcomes alumni, Lippo Karawaci residents, and Lippo Group corporate members and the public community, including institutions under the Yayasan Pelita Harapan network. The access is obtained by registering for a free membership to register visitor identities into the university library system, so they receive a university access card to enter the library and access physical and online resources.
